There are two common benefits of working with a qualified financial planner:
Knowledge and Experience
Financial planners should bring knowledge and experience regarding investing, taxes, retirement planning, risk management, estate planning, among other subjects to help the clients they serve. One could certainly learn each of these areas on their own should they have the time, interest, discernment, and ability to do so.
Behavior Management
Managing behaviors and emotions—especially when it comes to your hard-earned savings—can be difficult. Having a professional on your side can help, whether you need someone who understands your personal situation to answer questions or someone to keep you focused and motivated.
I welcome clients from a variety of financial backgrounds and life stages who are seeking personalized, collaborative financial guidance. I have experience navigating the unique needs of tech-sector employees and those seeking early retirement, but I do not work solely with that clientele. If you aren't located in or near Nashville, you should be comfortable using technology (think email and web meetings).
If you're looking for a "hot stock picker" or market timer, this is not the firm for you. If you are set on finding an advisor who claims to do this well, I’d love to grab a coffee or jump on a call to share the data on why I take a different approach. My approach to investing involves building portfolios of diversified, low-cost index funds appropriate for each client's situation.
For ongoing clients: During the first few months, we meet regularly to get organized, discuss goals, and build your comprehensive plan. Once the initial plan is built, we'll typically meet each 3-6 months, although I'm always available for additional connects as needed.
For Fixed-Term clients: Meeting frequency varies depending on the project scope, the maximum hours assigned, and client preference.
For both types of clients, I offer virtual meetings or in-person meetings for clients in Nashville.
Absolutely. Clients seeking this type of help could use either Comprehensive Financial Planning or Fixed-Term Planning Packages.
This is a fee-only, fiduciary firm, meaning the fees you pay are the firm's only form of compensation.
Taylor Financial Planning does not sell investment products or insurance, nor are we compensated by third-parties for selling products or recommending particular funds, which reduces conflicts of interest.
